Following on from my post on Friday about tidying and reorganising my craft room, I have been looking at different ways to store some of the many things we crafters collect.
I saw this idea on 2Peas and absolutely fell in love with it - what a wonderful idea. It looks good and so very practical too! Glitter Storage in Vintage Salt Shakers…….

Another idea I really liked was for storing Stickles glitter glue. Some people like to store them upside down to aid the flow of the glue and I thought this was ingenious - held upside down by a magnet…

And this is one I also love and one I will definately adopt! I know from experience how annoying it is when you write on a drawer or box what is inside and then have to cover it up some time later when the contents change. I love the idea of doing a little blackboard front.
For lots more storage ideas pop along to 2Peas….. and Martha Stewart - and if you have any handy hints, tips or ideas for storage then let me know - I am always on the look out for more cool ideas in my quest to be more organised!

For this weeks challenge I have made a card using the Mini ShapeBoss and chalks - both things I haven’t used in a while. I forgot how much fun they are to use!

For this weeks challenge of ‘Use Metal…’ I thought it a good opportunity to make a bag charm - I do like making these!
I gave myself the challenge of making it just using metal and no beads or buttons. So a look in my stash produced some metal stars, zip pull, Tim Holtz Word Key and some chain. The only concession I made away from metal was a little chain of crystals, which just sets it off.
I used my trusty Fiskars pliers throughout, of course. The whole thing was very quick and easy to make and a great idea for a present - my daughter Abi especially likes to give them to her friends so some made in advance is always useful!
Look forward to seeing your take on the challenge……
