You will need

Shrink Plastic Extra Large flower squeeze punch Large flower squeeze punch Eyelet setters , I used the 1/8th Fiskars silver wire Stretch magic Selection of seed beads Dimensional paint Crimp bead Earring wires

Using the XL flower squeeze punch punch out enough flowers from the shrink plastic to go around your wrist. (I used 6). Punch holes in opposite petals using the eyelet punch. Using the L flower punch punch out 2 flowers from the shrink plastic.. Punch holes just above the centre using the eyelet punch.

Decorate both flowers as you like. I used zig pens. Using your heat gun or put them in the oven, following the manufacturers instructions, shrink your flowers. (The first photo shows the flower before decoration, after decoration and shrunk.)

Add dimensional paint to the centre of the flowers for the bracelet and stick a bead in it. Assemble your bracelet adding beads between the flowers and either crimp the ends or tie a knot. Attach the flowers to the earring wires using wire and beads matching the bracelet

Have a great weekend and don’t forget we would love to see your take on our ideas.

Going on Holiday ?

by Jayne & Caroline

When I was at the airport a while back I remember all the cases looking the same so thought I could make a nice big simple label to set my case away from all the other cases ! You really could go to town on this and also make it a little more robust.

I have made a double layer for security reasons & a huge bright pink ribbon to tie it onto the case.

Just cut 2 tags , I used this template & Shapecutter plus to do this.

On the Template above there is some holes so I cut one in each tag & one for the centre of the flower.

A Flower was punched out using the XL flower squeeze punch, ribbon is threaded through -Use a long piece as that will help catch your eye too.

by Guest Designer Kirsty Wiseman…

For allowing me to share 4 weeks with all your lovely blog followers and for allowing me to fall in love with punches again!

My final installment is a bag that I made with my left over Heidi Grace papers that I was sent.  The “handles” were made using the oval punch and the lollipop/flower sticks were made by covering a pencil in patterned paper. Then using the nesting circles punches, I made “lollipop/flower heads” by stacking them neatly and finally adding a button.  I trimmed the sticks with a tad of ribbon and hey presto - a gift or christmas decoration to keep.

Keep an eye out for new punches coming your way from Fiskars… they are always head of the trends when it comes to fabulous punches.

Challenge - Sketch ~ Digi

by Jayne & Caroline

Digi sketch challenge layout

by Caroline

For the challenge this week I thought I would give Digi Scrapping a go.  I can count on one hand the amount of digi layouts I have done, but I did enjoy putting this together.

The papers and embellishments used are from a ‘Katie and Kirsty’ set put together by Katie Hadfield and Kirsty Wisemen - Kirsty being our June Guest Designer, and Katie Hadfield being a fantastic digi scrapper as some of you may already know.

I used Photoshop to put all the elements together and used a picture of my youngest son Cam, taken a couple of years ago!

You can see how I loosely interpreted the sketch whilst still keeping the idea of placement of the sketch ~I look forward to seeing your interpretations of the sketch…

Challenge - Sketch

by Jayne & Caroline

 Jayne’s Layout:

I have created a L/O for todays challenge. We had to make something inspired from the sketch provided. I initially thought about a card but then I remembered my photos that I have been meaning to scrapbook for at least a year ! This is a great way to use up photos, I usually scrap one photo on a L/O but hardly ever 4 !

Paignton Zoo - by Jayne Loughlin

Supplys:

4  landscape 6×4″ photos

1 piece of Patterned paper (double sided)

Cardstock 12″ x 12″ piece & a 12″ x 1.5cm strip.

xLarge Heart squeeze punch

Shape Cutter plus

Shape cutter Template (circles)

Cutting mat

Paper Trimmer

Pen , glues and ink (opt)

Instructions:

1.Cut the piece of Patterned paper 10.5″ x 12″ . Glue this onto your Cardstock.

 2. Stagger the photos on top of the Patterned paper and glue down when happy.

3. Cut a strip of cardstock for the journalling if you havent already done so. Journal onto it before glueing down (this is better just incase you make mistakes) Ink edges if preferred. Trim into sentences and glue at the bottom of the page underneath the photos.

4. Cut a circle using the Shape Cutter Template, Ink edges. Add Journalling and glue onto the bottom right hand corner.

5.  Punch a few Hearts using the Squeeze punch place around the L/O and glue when happy.
