now for the embellishments…

Fix the paper to the centre of an A6 card blank (for this I would use a double sided tape, as a wet glue can leak through the fragile paper and a tape runner can tear the paper), and draw a doodled frame around the edge with a black fine line pen.

Add a length of lace, and a length of black ribbon to the card as shown. To make the ribbon ‘sit’ neatly on the card, tuck the edges under. You can always add an insert later! For where the ribbon meets the spine, cut a slit into the spine using a craft knife, and thread the ribbon through the hole.

Just over half way through – step 4…

Now, punch out three or four circles from the double sided adhesive sheeting using the small Fiskars lever circle punch. Peel off the backing of the double sided adhesive circles and apply to the paper as shown. Be careful when peeling off the backing as sometimes the adhesive can be quite fragile and come off with the waste!

Apply orange loose glitter to the adhesive circles, and remove the excess. If any adhesive from the circles did come off, now’s the time to apply a little wet glue to complete the circle and reapply the glitter.

and the glitter applied…

Load the Continuous Stamping roller with a black ink cartridge. It’s a good idea to run the stamp over a piece of scrap paper to get the ink properly applied to the stamp before applying to your project. Have a look at this video if you’ve never used the continuous stamping wheel before.

Replace the mask over the paper, allowing the circles to show though. Use the Fiskars continuous stamping wheel, black ink cartridge and the continuous hearts stamp over the mask to allow the stamp images through the circles only. I used the ink cartridge on the lowest, darkest level. I think the trick with the stamping wheel is not to press on too heavily, which is the instinct. Just light pressure is more than enough.
