Challenge – Vintage
by ClareGood morning Fiskarettes! Hope you had a lovely weekend and got to enjoy the beautiful sunshine! And hope all you Mums had a truly wonderful Mothers Day…x
This weeks Challenge is – ‘create a project in a vintage style’……
**************************
Caroline: I love vintage and to me its all about the aged look whether thats created using just ink, tearing the edges or using old photos, lace, etc. You can interpret it how you want. My project is a large tag – I used a BasicGrey tag with a fine paper sewn on the top then an old book page sewn on top of that and the edges torn and inked. The torn look was helped with one of my favourite pairs of scissors at the moment – Deckle…. These scissors give a lovely raggedy non-uniform edge which helps with the aged and torn look.
Don’t forget you can get vintage images from those sites I linked to in my article on Friday…..x

Jayne’s L/O : I really struggled with this challenge as I really don’t like vintage, the first thing I did was look what age is Vintage ?? There isn’t actually a date ! The info I got was anything in the past decade.I have cheated a little with the photo as it is new but the colours just worked. The photo is my friends cat Noodles ! Ok its not a vintage photo but I hope you think the papers are they are very 70′s. I added lace and old book pages to the L/O one of the flowers is my favourite Fiskars Squeeze punch. Inked in D.brown ink to help it look a little older too.
