Tying in with our May Fiskarette Focus of ‘In the Garden’ and ‘Punches’ I have created a layout!  Don’t faint, I do many more cards than layouts but I do make some scrapbook pages from time to time…. :)

Fiskars Products Used:

Additional Products Used:

  • Cardstock
  • Paper
  • Flowers
  • Gems
  • Photos
  • Ink
  • Rub-on
  • Alphabet stickers

Instructions:

  • Trim photos and mat onto plain white cardstock.  I then sewed into place.
  • Take two pieces of cardstock and make one slightly smaller than the other with a Trimmer.  Ink around the edges and then sew the smaller piece on top of the other.
  • Using scraps of paper, I actually used paper given free with a scrapbook magazine, punch out lots of squares using the Squeeze Punch.  Ink the edges of each piece.
  • Placing your photos on the cardstock, arrange the squares to fit before gluing.  Then adhere to the cardstock.  I then did some sewing zigzag stitch in random places around the squares and photos.
  • Assemble the embellishments in a cluster, and add the rub-on.  Place the alphabet sentiment across the top and add some journalling…

As you can see ‘In the Garden’ doesn’t have to be just flowers or butterflies but can be anything really and could include your favourite place in the garden maybe, just as the Summerhouse is my favourite place – although flowers and butterflies are indeed very lovely and projects depicting those would be great to see too!   :)

Lovely LO Caroline! The punched squares have a lovely summery feel to them – like picnic tablecloths!
