“Create a project depicting anything which is eco friendly or recyle something to use within your project….”

This is a simple bag charm I made from two earrings. They were earrings I found where the other one of the pair had been mislaid/lost. Too good to throw away though!
You need the charms – old earrings, necklaces, bracelet, any old jewellery you no longer wear can be recycled!
Swivel Clip, chain and jump rings.
Take the charms off the earring and attach to the chain using the jump rings.
Add the large heart and chain to the swivel clip and its good to go!
All this was made a lot easier using the Fiskars Round Nose Pliers.
Look forward to seeing your project using something recycled or environmentally friendly!

What's Hot

Going to look through my jewelry and see if there is anything I can cobble together

Lovely Caroline, I used to always chop up old Jewellery and make things with. Sometimes it was embarrassing buying an awful huge pair of earrings in a sale as I had an idea what to make with them x
Yep, guilty of buying things just for the charms too
What a lovely gift this would make.
I love fiddling through the sale box in shops to see what I can find to create new pieces.
I love your take recycling.
I hope you won’t be offended if I say they look much better as a bag charm than as earrings – lol! Fab bit of “upcycling”, love it!
That’s lovely Caroline, what a fab heart xx
Wow! what a difference. The bag charm is super..xx
gosh, them were big earrings LOL……..much better as a bag charm:)
WoW this is really imaginative and very pretty Caroline X
I love handbag charms. They must have been big earrings! Great idea to recycle when you have lost one!
WOW – this is stunning!
