box

My project for the Give Thanks Challenge is a little Pillow Box.  Ideal for popping in a ‘little something’ to say thanks to someone, and a fab little box for jewellery or small items this Christmas!  And so easy to make!!

Ingredients:

Fiskars ShapeCutter and Mat

Fiskars ShapeCutter Template – Box 2

Fiskars Embossing Stylus

Patterned paper or cardstock

Ribbon

How to:

box 1

Using the ShapeCutter cut out the box shape from the template.

box 2

Box 3

Using the acrylic scoring guide, included with the Box Template, align on the reverse side of the box shape and using the Embossing tool or similar, press firmly as you follow the perimeter of the scoring areas.

box 4

Gently fold along the score lines to create the box.

Using part of the decorative paper, cut out a circle and punch two holes either side of it.

Wrap ribbon around the box and through the holes either side of the circle and tie in a bow to secure the circle on top of the box and to keep the box closed.  The circle was only for decoration and matched the design of the paper -  you can add any shape here or none at all – its up to you!

So easy to make and the possibilities are endless.  Make with plain cardstock and add a big ribbon and bow.  Make some to hang off your Christmas tree, make with glittery paper for Christmas, or used pattered paper as I did and keep the decoration to a minimum.  I love this Box Template…. :-)

That looks so much easier to make than it looks… that doesn’t make as much sense as it did in my head but hopefully you know what I mean :) It’s lovely.
