glitter card

I made a card which was heaving in glitter!

I bought a glittery paper runner from a local garden centre and used some of it as the background of this card.  Its about 2m long and as soon as I saw it I knew it would make a great background for cards.  They had several other colours too, and it cost about £6.  Not bad seeing as it will help to make a fair few cards!

I glued it onto the card blank and inked around the whole card front with blue ink.

Using the Fiskars Eyelet Setter I created two holes on the sides of the card, set snowflake eyelets and thread ribbon through.

The chipboard snowman is from the My Minds Eye, Colorful Christmas collection and the snowflake embellishments are K&Co.  The ‘jolly’ sentiment is a K&Co sticker.

Fiskars are releasing a new Squeeze Punch in the UK January 2010 - Scallop Square - and it is the perfect shape and size for a pretend stamp.  As I will be hand delivering a lot of my cards I thought it would further enhance the envelope to add a stamp!

I punched the square, stamped with a script stamp and then inked around the edges.  I then added a little chipboard shape from the Colorful Christmas range.

Thats another card done - to add to my grand total of three Christmas cards made.  Yikes!  I really need to get a move on with Christmas card making……. :-)

Pretty card. I got some glittery gift wrap from a well known Stationery shop and used that on my cards. I’ll have too look out for the table runners too.

Thanks for the comments ladies, much appreciated….x
Hopefully popping along to the garden centre again soon - going to see what other colours they have in the glittery runner! Its such an easy way to mass produce some Christmas cards…
