Sam & Sea: – This weeks challenge gave me the perfect opportunity to scrap one of the many photos I have of Sam, our beautiful border collie dog. This was taken in Looe, Cornwall in August 2008.
I layered white cardstock on top of black. One edge of the white cardstock had been torn using the Fiskars Tear Edger – Scallop. I trimmed the other edges using a Paper Trimmer to make the white cardstock smaller than the black.
I inked the edges with black and blue ink and sewed the white and black cardstock together, sewing around twice to create a border.
I layered the photo on top of the Basic Grey Two Scoops paper and sewed in place.
I then sewed a channel down the right hand side of the photo. Using a Fiskars Art Knife I cut two lines in the centre of the channel and took the white cardstock away to reveal the black. Be sure not to cut too deeply as you don’t want to go through the black cardstock.
I used the Fiskars Border Punch – Boundary Water to create the wave effect on the left hand side.
Buttons, crystals and pearls create little clusters and rub-ons are added onto the photo and down the side channel. Two Scoops alpha finish off ‘Sam & Sea’…..
I look forward to seeing your Pet creations for this challenge!
