**Challenge ~ Recycle!**
by ClareHope you are all enjoying a lovely Easter break! Hope you are having lots of chocolate and relaxing time, and maybe time to craft? If so, then why not give this week’s challenge a go….
This weeks challenge is simply ‘RECYCLE’….This could mean anything you like, from just using old scraps or maybe something that isn’t usually used for crafts.

Jayne: I have used Easter egg packaging for my L/O and made a nest and eggs. I also used one of the embellishments I had made last week. There are a couple of flower buttons too that I had snipped off Keiras T-shirt a while back. The button & scroll stamps are Fiskars and from this set HERE and the patterned paper is quite new (my own stash).

Caroline: I’ve made a birthday card for my friend whose birthday is tomorrow (still thinking of a present but with the watering can on the front of the card I think something for the garden would be good!) – the recycled part is the kraft cardstock where I have used rub-ons for the ‘Happy Birthday’. This was part of some packaging for some stickers!
I used the Scalloped Lace Border Punch for the scalloped effect below the lace, and I used the Circle Hand Punch to create the holes for the string to poke through, just under the rose. I think this may well be one of my fave little tools at the moment. You can get them in three circle sizes and they can be handy for threading ribbon through or used decoratively to create holes on your project. Great fun!
Hope you will take part in this weeks challenge – we always like to see what you’ve made, so please give it a go! Have a great Bank Holiday Monday….x

What's Hot

Mmmmm, I will have to get thinking on this one. Our UKS team did a credit crunch challenge a while ago and we all had to try and use ‘magpie’ found items to use on our projects. The group was very creative and used clothes labels, bits of old jewellery and they looked fab! I didn’t get to join in this challenge as work took over, so as I am on my hols, I tend to have a go now…
Those stamps are gorgeous, they need to go on my wish list.
Great idea to recycle, I will be at a charity crop on Saturday so hopefully will get something done then.
