phone cover

For the challenge this week I decided to decorate my very plain black knit phone cover, and so delved into my fabric scraps and found a piece of pink felt.

Using the new ShapeCutter Template – Cupcakes, I used it as a stencil and drew around the flower shape and then cut out using fabric scissors.

As I needed the cover to be able to stretch I only fastened the flower in the centre with the black button.   This enables the whole cover to stretch when needed.  The small buttons were placed randomly around the flower.

Ever so simple and quick to do.  And because of the texture created with the buttons I find I can dip my hand into my bag and find my phone straight away by feeling the buttons, rather than rummaging around for ages which I tended to do before!

Hope you enjoy the challenge… :)

Caroline, this looks fab – might be just the thing to protect my iPod Touch from the rigours of being bounced around in my bag!
