My Winter Warmer is a scarf!
I very often knit a scarf around this time – usually for my daughter, Abi. This time though I am knitting one for myself!
Its very simple, just plain knitting, on really big needles (12mm) and because of the large needles it does knit very quickly and the loose knit style is fashionable at the moment. So its win, win! Great for those who want a quick result – which I do. I am using the plain green to knit the whole scarf and the green and blue to add pom poms or tassels, not decided yet.
There are some fab Knitting sites around, and here are just a few….

What's Hot

love the colour Caroline what kind of wool are you using it looks soft and yummy xxx
The green wool is chenille so its really soft and velvetty.
I got it from Poundland, of all places!
Its lovely to knit with, and I spent an hour or so on it last night, knitting whilst watching I’m a Celebrity.
Kids said I looked like a typical old lady – I had a blanket on my legs, cos I was cold, and I was knitting, hehe…x
Nothing wrong with knitting under a blanket Caroline, not that I do it you understand!! The wool is gorgeous, I’d go with little pom poms myself. I’ve had wool from poundland before too.
Can’t wait to see the finished scarf. I’m working on wrist warmers at the mo xx
Caroline lovely scarf that will be. I’ve never thought to look in Poundland for wool thanks for the tip.
Good to see the knitting coming out, look forward to seeing it finished CAroline.
