*Update* and Weekly Challenge #2

by Jayne & Caroline

Hello everyone !

Update

We have some lovely entries in for the competition so far (how are you going to choose?!) - but you still have time to enter!  Closing date is 29 October (this Wednesday), we would love to see more……

Lots of lovely posts last week and there are some very inspirational and creative people out there.  Did you see the ‘Feeling Felt’ post?  How gorgeous are those necklaces!  And those stunning glass beads, wow!  The interview with Joanne Sanderson was very interesting and we do so love to see your creations too!  So please carry on posting and let us know if there is someone particularly inspirational to you….. :)

Weekly Challenge

Thank you to those who entered last weeks Challenge ‘Pink’ -  Just for fun, the weekly challenge will hopefully inspire you and we will show examples of our work for the challenges too.

This challenge is to create a piece of craft work for Halloween in the traditional colours of Black, Green, Purple & Orange.  It could be a piece of jewellery, a card, a scrapbook page, ATC, home decor, sewn craft or any other handmade craft you can think of!

Please come and share with us your project and post with a few words about your project for us to be inspired to create.

Have fun!

Caroline’s Entry

This is a hanging decoration I made using lots of lovely chipboard!  And I was able to put the Bow Tutorial, posted a while ago, into good effect for the bows on this one, haha.

Boo

Can you spot the little cat in the window?  How cute is he?!  Thats punched using the Fiskars Cassette Punch Set.  Little diddy punches to add a little finishing touch to a project.

Jayne’s Entry

I have made a banner for my Halloween party that I’m holding for my children & friends, I can’t make anything too scary so these little characters are ideal again. I used the Templates as shown in a previous post but put stuck them onto triangular flag shapes that have been edged with hand cut Scalloped strips (you could use a border punch for ease) , I have also stamped cat images using a fiskar stamp set.

What stunning halloween decorations - I love them both - and I dread to think how long that hand cut scallop border took - you must have the patience of a saint Jayne :)

Love your creations Caroline and Jayne. I’m giving this weekly challenge a miss as I’ve already put my one and only Halloween card into the gallery - not a bit of purple on it, though! Can’t wait to see what you come up with for us next time.
