DT Project – Toy Shop Window
by susanne
Well this is my last DT project for you all, the 3 months have flown past so quick. I have really enjoyed it and thank Jayne and Caroline for the opportunity.
For my last project I have made a card representing a toy shop window using the Fiskars Square Everywhere punch.

I started with a blank white card and covered the front with patterned paper. I then used the everywhere punch and cut 4 squares in the middle of the card.
Next I used the shapeboss and the winter template and embossed the tree shapes and coloured them with green pencil.

I also embossed the roof section on the house from the winter template, moving the card along so I did 3 in a row. I coloured this in brown pencil and stuck this to the card under the bottom windows as a windowsill.
I also made a snowflake coloured in yellow.
I stuck a piece of patterned paper into the inside of the card.
I coloured a piece of card using a brown pencil and trimmed the bottom with the effervescence punch. I made 2 of these to make the shelves inside the card. Stick them on where they can be seen through the windows.
I cut around all my embossed shapes, and split the tree in the middle and stuck them to the front of the card with 3D foam.

I added some silver glitter glue to the tips of the trees, window sills and star.
I had a piece of patterned paper which had lots of different toys on it so I cut out the toys to decorate the inside of the card making them look like they are sitting in the toy shop window.
Thanks again for choosing me to be on the design team, I have really enjoyed playing with all the new products Happy Crafting and Happy Christmas.
