For Father’s day this year I have made a LO of my dad and my pup Koby. In my 6 years of scrapbooking this is actually my first ever LO of my dad as it is so hard to get a decent photo due to rude gestures or stupid faces. But at a recent BBQ my dad was distracted by Koby and unaware that I had the camera out. So I just had to take advantage of the opportunity, lol.

For this LO, I wanted the photo to be the main focus of the page so decided to frame the picture with various decorative edges.

I set about cutting a deckled edge using the shape cutter and the edge on the shapes template.

I then punched edges with the ribbon slit and scalloped lace border punch in coordinating papers.

I then began layering around the photo with other strips of PP and painted pieces of masking tape plus the previous cut pieces.

I embellished with journaling stickers and cards and a large cut flower, again cut from a shape cutter template, before adding my title with alphabet stickers.

And there you go, a simple LO using decorative edges and border punches to frame a photo.
