Well, challenges are meant to be … well … challenging, so I decided I shouldn’t duck out of this just because you asked us to use fabric. I thought of  ‘cheating’ a little and using some ready made felt embellishments, but I thought that wasn’t really the way to go.

So I got out my fabric box and found some pieces of furnishing samples – lovely plush-feeling material that I thought would be OK for the grass/ground. The stems of the flowers are some that I’ve had for ages, wondering what to do with them.

I know this is’t the best card I’ve ever made, but sometimes it’s good to step outside our comfort zone and do something that little bit different.

Great card, I like the way you used the stamens as the flower stalk.
I think I shall be lifting your idea for a mini-canvas I have.

That red is really lovely next to those greens. Like Beadmad said – this would make a lovely canvas.

I love the way you’ve sewn the green fabric – they look like distant hills :)
