DT Project – Relax!
by milliesmarvelsFor my first project since I joined the Fiskarettes DT I have a card to share with you which I made using 3 of my favourite Fiskars tools. The star squeeze punch, the scalloped lace border punch and my Fiskars paper trimmer, I also had my Fiskars scissors to hand to trim my ribbon.
I used a digital image by Pollycraft which I coloured with Promarkers and the sentiment is an old one from my stash. The papers are by October Afternoon.
To make the card:
1. Cut a piece of green spotty paper to measure 10.5×14.5cm to fit a C6 card base and cut a piece of stripey paper to measure 9.5×13.5cm.
2. Cut a strip of kraft card to measure 3.5×13.5cm, punch one long edge with the border punch and stick to bottom of stripey paper with double sided tape.
3. Wrap with gingham ribbon and then stick panel to green spotty paper rectangle. Sew around the edges with red thread and add to card base with double sided tape.
4. Die cut a scalloped circle from kraft card and a circle from red spotty paper and another from green graph paper. Layer up and stamp with sentiment. Sew around the edges and add to card with foam pads at the bottom of the circle so they don’t show at the back of the card.
5. Print and colour the image and cut out leaving a small border. Add to circle with foam pads
6. Tie a bow from Gingham ribbon and add to the left of the image. Top with a star punched from kraft card to which you have added a button and stick a star pin in the knot of the bow.
7. Add another star topped with a button to the right of the image overlapping the edge of the layered circles.
8. Add a black stick on gem to the top right of the card as a finishing touch.
This would make a lovely Father’s Day card or a Birthday card for a Man.
