Simple Tree decorations you can do with the kids !
by Jayne & Caroline
I thought these little decorations would be easy enough to do with children, Help might be needed to cut the shapes out for smaller children but i’m sure they would like to ‘Bling up’ these ornaments even more. They’ll be a great little keepsake as you can display pics of the family,I saw them on the net ages ago but can’t remember where ! If you haven’t got glitter card normal cardstock with added glitter or Gems works just as well xx
Here are two template shapes (below)… Or You can draw your own shapes using a Shapecutter Template There are lots of shapes to choose from !. You will need Glitter card, photo optional, Scissors,Adhesive & a thread & needle.
Cut 2 pieces of each chosen shape from Glitter cardstock. Â Sandwich together using a dry adhesive if possible to avoid buckling. Add a photo in the centre if you are using one.
Thread a needle with cotton & string your ornament together saving some to add a loop to hang.

The 2nd Template you cut the back piece solid. The front piece you cut the slits that are shown with dotted lines and curl back the corners with a knitting needle or something simular creating a frame (window) for a photo . Add the photo and sandwich the pieces together.

Great idea, I shall be making some of these, I have some gorgeous Xmas glittery paper.
I’ll be making some as well, just need to find a spare afternoon! They’re very effective!
Lovely idea Jayne - bet they look great on your tree!…x
They are just lovely Jayne
And you can add more each year as the kids get older.
These are lovely Jayne, not sure I have time to make some this year but next year can you please do a decorations post and link back to all the fabulous ideas you have had this year.
If its early enough I can get organised and it would be nice to be reminded of all the wonderful ideas for decorations on the blog just this Christmas.
