Layered Card

For this challenge I’ve made a simple card using different layers of the same paper. I used a script paper, torn into different rectangles and inked the different layers using lilac and purple inks. To compliment the heart shaped stamp used on the card, one of the layers was cut using a Fiskars heart shape template and shape cutter. I stamped the central heart in purple and highlighted some details with a glitter pen. I raised a copy of the little bird on a foam square, added a glossy varnish and a jewel for an eye. I made a little layered mat with pieces cut by feeding a one inch strip of the paper through a scalloped square squeeze punch and inked the edges. I stuck on a pre-printed foil greeting to finish.
