This is a layout I created a short while ago. I used sepia photos as I thought this worked best with the paper colour combo. I had never experimented with a mask before and I love the effect that this gave to the background paper. I used a large shop bought mask and a blending sponge and then a die cut swirl mask for the top right hand corner. I then used a few embellies to finish off the design.

I love the effect you have created.
I’ve only used a mask on a small project before.

Same here – only used a small hand cut mask before. This is gorgeous. I actually thought it was part of the pp.

Love how you’ve used masks on this LO – it fits so well with the pp. I have a couple of masks but have yet to pluck up the courage to use them! Maybe now I will :o )

Thanks for your comments everyone. This was only the second time I had used a mask and was really pleased with how it turned out. I have done another LO with this same mask but using a spray instead of a sponge. I’ll upload it for anyone who is interested! x
