Beadmad

I discovered needle felting whilst visiting the Quilts UK show at Malvern and am really enjoying experimenting. The base of the flower is a “colour catcher” that I’ve used in the washing machine. These pieces of fabric are brilliant not only do they stop colours running but they come out dyed beautifully. There’s nothing like finding a use for something that would otherwise end up in the bin.
These flowers just use up scraps of ribbon, fabric, felt etc. I then sewed on a few beads and it was finished.
The needle threader from the sewing multi-tool  makes threading those fine eye needles simple. It also helps find the needle when you’ve dropped it as there is a magnet in the top:) The magnifier is brilliant for scooping beads.
I used the ShapeCutter Template Flowers and the ShapeCutter plus to cut the stem and leaves from green felt.
