This is my entry for the sewing challenge. I had some very pretty vellum for Christmas cards but I never know what glue to use so I decided to sew it onto the front of the card instead. I pricked the holes first using a piercer and a mousemat, then titched a running stitch in white cotton. It was quite soothing to do – I do enjoy sewing anyway – and I like the extra texture it added to the card.

That’s a really pretty card Alison and I love the stitched effect. I don’t have a sewing machine and I’m absolutely rubbish with a needle – it’s funny, but people don’t usually like their cards to come with random spots of blood!
