Mini book

by Clare

Of course I’m going to bore you all a little more with everything I craft for the new addition in our family :D   I’m still on a high being a grandmum :D

This is a little mini book I made that can be used as a card too as it stands up . The basic shape is cut out of Chipboard.  I used Fiskars shape cutter & Oval templates The shape cutter didn’t really cut Chipboard so I just drew round the Oval Template and cut out with sturdy General purpose scissors . Then I used the shape cutter & same template to cut patterned paper as it it much quicker and you get a cleaner line with the Shapecutter.  I cut some pages out of cardstock too. Then I glued the Paper to the chipboard, inked the edges, Punched a hole to put a book ring through & a chipboard sticker title & flower embellishments to the front. I added a little note about the day inside but left the pages blank as my daughter likes to scrapbook and she can add photos & embellishments as they go along !

This mini-book is gorgeous, the photo really doesn’t do it justice. It’s very tactile too.
Jayne it’s not everyday you become a Grandma for the first time, just enjoy yourself.
