Teachers cards

Hiya, I have made 4 cards for my youngest daughter teachers. She is leaving nursery & moving across the playground to Reception (Big School) I’m a little saddened that she is going to be at school full time.  She is also leaving 3 great teachers behind but will see them occaisionally. Her Head Teacher is leaving the school too. She taught my elder daughter over 15 years ago !!

Anyway I thought I would make them a card as it’s a little more personal.

Things you’ll need: Patterned paper, Cardstock, Ink, Alphas of choice, flowers, Paper Trimmer, Scalloped Lace Border Punch, XL Heart Punch, Glue.

Instructions: Firstly I have cut a piece of coloured cardstock 270 mms x 135mms. Fold your card in half.

Then cut a piece of patterned paper 135mms x 145mms, Glue this onto the front of your card making sure you glue the edge of the card first rather than the folded side…..the paper is going to be bigger than the front of the card, fold this toward the back & glue. I have also inked the edges with red.

Next I cut a little piece of cardstock 35mms x 135mms and scalloped the edge with the scalloped lace punch. I also glued a piece of white card to the back of the punched holes. This was stuck down onto the card, approx 1/3rd from the bottom edge.

Next I punched a heart out of co-ordinating paper using the Fiskars Squeeze punch & inked the edge. This is glued onto the punched cardstock strip. A flower was glued onto the centre of the heart.

Last I completed the card with a sticker alphabet word.
