Decopatch

by Clare

I have tried out a different craft today and I love the effect! It is called Decopatch and it is between Decopage & patchwork ! I bought a papermache cat, some patterned papers especially designed for Decopatch & some special glue. I think you could use lightweight wrapping paper and PVA glue for a simular effect if you were careful but the proper papers are very strong even when wet. You just tear or cut up the paper into squares, glue to surface and then glue over the top so it is a little protected. Hope you like x Jayne x

Its lovely Jayne – I love working with Decopatch!
I have some large letters spelling out ABI for her room which I was going to decorate with some decopatch papers, so you have reminded me I must get and do them, haha…

What a good idea, looks really nice! I can imagine this technique could also be fun to do together with children.
