Creating layouts ought to centre around the story or the memory but sometimes there isn’t such a huge story to tell nor is there any large event to record in detail. I find its just as much fun to make layouts centred around the design or remark on the little things in life. And all the while it fills my albums and empties my head!

This layout focusses on both the sentiment and the design. But it also highlights these cute techniques to bring the whole page together. Down the right hand of the photos I have used the Ribbon Slot Border Punch to feed through patterned paper from the Heidi Grace range to co-ordinate effectively with the project. I find using paper instead of ribbon on many projects such a challenge and obviously its a cheaper alternative too.

Then on the flourish detail I have made a simple layered flower using co-ordinating cardstock using the nest of squeezable circle punches from the Fiskars range.  How easy are they to use??!! I’m going to have a blast using those circle punches over the next few weeks along with the ribbon slot border punch. This Fiskarette honour is the best fun I have had in a loooooooong time, thank you :)
