Masking

by Sally Sherfield

This is a very easy technique and very effective. Get your base card blank and mask all four edges using low tac masking tape. I also run the tape over my jeans to make it even less tacky! Stamp and emboss in white you image. Then I coloured the flowers with distress inks used as watercolours. The blue background is just distressed with a dauber. Carefully remove your masking tape to reveal a one layer card.

A beautiful result which can fully compete with any designer paper, – which is what I might have used not knowing that it is possible to create such a good “patternd paper” yourself! The different shades of colouring on the flowers give it depth – love it!
