Rainbow Love!

by Clare

Hi there again!

I think it’s about time I shared another card, don’t you? This one is made again using the gorgeous Country Flowers stamp set, and this time a brayer and gorgeously coloured rainbow inks. Want to find out how easy it was to make? Then read on…

Fiskars Supplies

Fiskars Clear stamp set – Country Flowers

Fiskars Acrylic blocks

Fiskars Guillotine A5

Other Supplies

Glossy Cardstock

White Cardstock

black gingham ribbon

small paper flower

Kaisercraft sentiment stamp

brayer

rainbow ink pad

black ink

pokey tool

A6 card blank

Instructions

1. Fix the flower stamp onto an acrylic block. Ink up the brayer using the rainbow ink pad and apply to the stamp, making sure it is completely covered. Stamp on to white plain cardstock, and trim to fit on to an A6 card blank. Stamp the greeting onto the right hand side as shown using black ink.

2. Take glossy cardstock and trim so it can be used as a mat for the main image. Ink up the brayer again and apply to the cardstock, applying to one end first, then turning the card and applying to the other side, so that the same colours meet in the middle.

3. Apply a length of ribbon to the top of the stamped panel, tying with a knot as shown. Fix a flower over the knot.

4. Layer the stamped panel on to the glossy inked cardstock, and use the pokey tool to create a pricked border. Fix to the front of an A6 card blank to finish.

I love this colourful image, especially at this dull time of year! And it gave me another excuse to use my brayer!

Well that’s all for now, I hope you like it!

Love and Crafty Hugs, Clare x

Clare, that’s just lovely! – a real ‘cheerer upper’ at this time of year – Seeing your gorgeous projects using a brayer, makes me think it’s time to get one and try something different. Anna x

I love how you have used the brayer to ink the stamp and create the background. I really like the ink pad with the bright colours you have used with the stamp as well. :-)
