Tool of the week
by ClareSorry this wasn’t published yesterday both myself and Caroline were at a meeting with Fiskars planning lots of exciting things for the blog in the coming year. Today the tool of the week is one of the fabby prizes for the February competition. It is the Fiskars Coming up roses - Corner & Border Punch .

It claims: it is two punches in one. To create continuous borders or use the corner punch button to transition into frames. Perfect for framing 4″ x 6″ photos.
My thoughts: This punch is very good and really easy to line your work up if you work in whole inches ! I found it a little more difficult punching the corner parts as the pattern is quite intricate & I was working with Bazill cardstock. The flower stems were very easy to punch through and I also liked the way you could use either the stem part of the punch or the corner part or both together.
MY LAYOUT: I have used the border / corner punch to edge all the way round a piece of white 12″ x 12″ cardstock and then stuck it onto a coloured piece. I also punched round the photographs mat using the same punch. The flowers are made using a Fiskars squeeze flower punch & the buds are just trimmed flowers. Sorry about the photograph, it was taken at night.
