Good morning. I hope it is a bit better weather by you than it has been here lately ! Though with lots of rain I have an excuse to make more crafty things :)

Today I’ve got my Fiskars Pinking shears out and played with Fabrics. I have covered a photo book with Gingham fabric and made decorations with fabric scraps & Buttons.

The cover can be taken off all I’ve done is sewn a pocket both sides (inside out) and then folded back to right way slotting the Photo book covers  in between the pockets. See below…

The front I just simply cut patchwork squares using pinking shears & cut material hearts. A background in cream was sewn onto the book & squares were glued on top.

Buttons were added at the bottom to make a flower shape.

I made a little mistake whilst doing the front inside cover so covered it with a strip of paper cut with the Paper edgers & then added little hearts :)

Good idea to enhance a little photo album – I do like gingham fabric. It looks lovely Jayne…x

What a sweet album! I love the patchwork squares, and I have a lot of fabric scraps I could use for this, so I might have to give it a go! x
