Has anyone taken part in Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas?

I have done the first tag and almost finished the second, so I am a little behind, but I am determined to get all twelve done and this will be my crafty project over Christmas.

The first tag was ideal for the colour theme of this challenge.

I made the tags, instead of buying some, using plain cream card and using up some of the 1000 hole reinforcers I have but never use!  Of course, the Fiskars Paper Trimmer was very handy for doing making sure the tags were straight!

I followed Tim’s method of decorating and the background was coloured using Distress Inks and then covered in Rock Candy.

The snowman is stamped onto Grungeboard and coloured using Copics and then I covered him in Stickles glitter.  Stickles glitter creates the icicle effect at the very top too.  Its a fab combination of techniques and one I’ve not used before  – you can see Tims #1 Tag here and follow his technique, if you haven’t already!

If you’ve done any of his tags then I would love to see… :-)

That’s lovely Caroline. I followed Tiim’s tags avidly but haven’t actually got around to making any yet! I was lucky enough to win one of his random blog prizes this year, which was SO exciting – it was a set of his stamps.

This is lovely. I love the background. I am a Tim Holtz fan – just been experimenting with distress inks lately. I haven’t checked out the 12 tags yet. Off to have a look now …
