Fiskarettes website redesign : New functionalities!

Dear Fiskarettes,

We have some good news for you . As you may have noticed, we have redesigned the Fiskarettes website to make it even more convenient and fun. It includes new quick browsing functionalities and new content options.
Every Fiskarette will find a benefit in it… Let’s discover it together!

LOGIN:

You may have noticed that you used to have to log in again after a while… From now, you can stay connected to the website by ticking the box “Remember me”

FAVOURITE FISKARETTE:

If you don’t want to miss the creations of a particular Fiskarette, you can add her to your favourites:
- Go to her profile
- Go to the page “My Background”
- Click on “add as favorite”

And then on your profile, your favourite Fiskarettes will appear. You can, of course, modify that choice.

THE GALLERY:

The creations can be found in a much easier way than the former search engine.
You can select filters, and have an overview of the posts.
- Go to the gallery (located on the right side of the home page)

- Click on one of the pictures
- You will be redirected to the general gallery, with the filter options on the right column:

- Click on the arrow on the left side of one of the filters and tick one or many squares related to your search options.
Then, let’s see some explanations step by step below:

A Search by designer:

When you have chosen at least one designer, the search option for your “Favourite Fiskarettes” will appear.
Don’t tick any square on the part “By designer” if you would like to check the creations of every designer.

A Search by theme:

We can add other themes if necessary.

A Search by level of difficulty :

There are 3 levels of difficulty :
- Beginners/ Elementary : dedicated to the greatest number of people, even to children
- Intermediate-level : requires more time and techniques (bending, sewing…)
- Experienced/ Advanced-level : the most difficult level, but do not hesitate to choose it !


A research by type of creation :

Be careful, the order of the types can change, and we can also add other types of creation if necessary.

Once you have selected the filters, click on :

And then, on the right side, the corresponding gallery will appear.

THE POSTS :

Your posts will now look like this :

On the top right, you will find a number of pictures of your post. In order to select another picture, click on the arrows on the right or the left side.
On the right side of the picture, you will find some information about the post.

COMMENTS:
You can post comments in the same way as before. The elements are just displayed in a different way.

You can go back to the gallery anytime, by clicking on “Back to the Gallery” (at the top of the post)

SUBMIT A CREATION:

In order to create a post, you would have to go to the column on the right top of the “Fiskarettes menu”. In order to reach this functionality, you must be back on the home page of the website, by clicking on this header (anywhere on the pink wallpaper):

Then, on the right side, click on “Submit a Creation”:

And you will be redirected to this page :

Click on the arrows in order to see the different proposals. Where you can find a *, you must choose an option.
Anytime you would like to choose a tool, you must click on “+ (add another tool)”.
If you don’t find your tool on the list (we will complete that list regularly), add it to the right hand text field.

The text that will appear before the pictures (please see below, in the red square), is the text written in “your introduction text”.

Be careful, do not add to this field the explanations related to the pictures.
Go back to the introduction text when you submit your creation:

The meanings of the grey squares:
- “B” : to make the text Bold
- “I” : to put the text in Italics
- “U” : to underline the text
- “A” : to choose the colour of the text
- The next grey squares : to place your text on the right side, in the centre, on the left side, or to justify it.
- The two arrows : to return to the former or the next action.
Then, you could add your pictures. Click on “add another picture” and upload your picture.

And on the right side of the picture, you can write a text that will appear below the picture in your post. If you would like to add another picture, click on “add another picture”.
The pictures will display in this order.

You can also share a tip in this field :

Your tip will appear at the bottom of your post.
If your creation is a tutorial, please tick on this box:

All that remains for you to do now is to validate your post by clicking on “Send”
