There were quite a few Fiskarettes who received a free ticket to get into the Hobbycrafts show at SECC, Glasgow and who also popped along to the Fiskars Booth and were lucky enough to receive a generous goody bag.
Could those of you who did, please leave a comment, or write an article even, letting us know about your day, what you bought, did you have a good time, what interested you, etc.
We all love a good craft show and it would be fun to share your experience, especially as a few of us are venturing to the NEC next week!
Look forward to hearing your stories….

PS. Those of you who are planning on visiting the NEC on Saturday next week see this post HERE for details about a free workshop!

What's Hot

Yes, I went to Glasgow, and was delighted to visit the Fiskars stand, ask a few questions and have a great blether! Thanks so much!
Wot did I see? and wot did I buy? Well.. I thought the show at Glasgow was great. I planned not to buy anything but after only two stands I had already spent a fortune! It was great to see so many different companies, and have so much choice. Several of my friends went and they too were impressed with the range of stockists and stock at the show.
In the hobbycrafts hall I did a few of the workshops organised (jewellery making; Lucetting, and a type of French Knitting to make necklaces!) I had a brilliant day and was glad I had gone. And what can I say about the brilliant Fiskars goody bag? it was fantastic, both myself and my friends was amazed at the range of stock and the generosity of Fiskars. It truly was a goody bag, and I just want to THANK so much everyone who was involved in this! Thanks! love and (((hugs))) Janet (Turtle)
I’m going to the NEC show on Thurs – courtsey of Fiskarettes! Thank you so much for my complimentary ticket, it arrived today
I’ll definitely be visiting the Fiskars stand!
*Ccugh* Have a stand at Ally Pally! *cough*
I was at the SECC courtesy of Fiskars, thanks for my ticket
Goody bags had run out by Saturday but mine arrived in the mail on Thursday & is great. It included some stencils a punch and scissors (which Iespecially love), can’t wait to use them on my next project.
The show was fun, lots to see and plenty of bargains. I picked up some new punches & stamps I had wanted for a while. I was disappointed at the lack of scrapbooking papers but really don’t need more anyway!
Visited the SECC on 5th March and spent an enjoyable 4 hours or so there, not to mention a money spend, and to cap off a memorable day and informative 5 or 10 minutes at the Fiskars Stall where I received received the fabulous Goody bag which waw waiting for me.
I had a fab day at the Glasgow SECC craft show. I had my usual look around EVERYTHING and then went back to buy all the goodies on my list. Some of the things I bought were ProMarker pens, CuttleBug folders, Stickles, some My Minds Eye scrummy papers, Spellbinders Nestabilities and a FISKARS Circle Squeeze Punch which I love. I also met a lovely girl at the Fiskars stand who showed me the Corner & Border punches, great idea and definitely something to save my pennies for. I received a extremely generous goody bag and have had great fun using the contents, and, the catalogue has highlighter on all my wish list goodies and left where my hubby can see it lol. Thank you for my bag and looking forward to the next show xx
It was a lovely surprise to receive a free ticket from Fiskars! I quickly booked my bus ticket for my 7 hour round trip. I visited the quiet stands first before heading off to see the Fiskars stand. Kath was on when I was there, she was demonstrating the 2-in-1 corner & border punches. I explained I was having problems using my Fiskars Shapecutter, she showed me and the gathered group how to use it properly (which I wasn’t doing), she suggested I buy a shapecutter mat to solve my problems. I had a turn using the Shapecutter, mat and template & with her guidance I produced a perfect shape,”Voila!”.I received my goody Carrier bag and was gob- smacked at the great items in it,”Thank You VERY much Fiskars!!
I bought a Fiskars 2 in 1 Vines border punch, Shapecutter Mat,ribbons, Diamond Dust, gilding flakes, double sided sticky paper and packs of fancy ready made card packs.
I had a great 4 hours browsing and came away with loads of crafty ideas. Roll on October’s Hobbycrafts in Glasgow. Thank you for my day out Fiskars!
Hi all, Mum & I flew over from Belfast to visit the SECC as we do every year. It was great to catch up with Lorraine demonstrating at the Fiskars stand. There are some fantastic new products out in the market and they were all there for us to try out and use. Unfortunately couldn’t buy any blades/sharp items etc because of the flight, but that hasn’t stopped me from buy from the comfort of my own home. Wish I was meeting you at the NEC, have fun, spend loads and keep in touch xoxox Karen
I went to SECC on the Thursday. First stop to see the adorable Lorraine
mwah. The Fiskars Demos are fantastic always got time for a demo and do it well…(slippers and all he he) I missed our Kath though
Had a smashing day with my Mum we laughed the whole day and got lots of inspiration. Met fellow bloggers too. Shh I can’t tell you what I spent lol as hubby doesn’t know.
Unfortunately I can’t make it to NEC this time maybe next time. I walked about with my Fiskars bag flashing it with pride
What fabulous freebies. Thank you Fiskars……
My friend and I had a great day at the SECC on the Saturday and thanks again for my free ticket. We were there for it opening and had that quiet hour before it gets busy! Thanks for our goody bags – they were very generous and it’s been fun playing with my wavy scissors and my corner punch in particular.I took the envelope template in to school and my crafty kids loved making envelopes with it. What did I buy? An A1 cutting mat- (Fiskars, of course), tubular knitted wire, coloured wire, scrapbooking paper, acetate sheets and friendly plastic. It wasn’t as good as the Christmas Crafts but we still enjoyed it and would like to visit the NEC next year for a wee change!
