Now it’s the turn of Tracey Grundy to be introduced!
Please introduce yourself :
Hi, my name is Tracey and I am a self-confessed craft-a-holic. I live in Northumberland with my lovely husband, (almost teenage) daughter, two cats and new puppy
When did you start crafting, and what got you into it?
I have been crafting in some form as far back as I can remember and have tried out a few different crafts. My main type of crafting at the moment is papercrafting but I love to trying any new form of crafting.
What are your favourite techniques?
I love the technicality of measuring and cutting to make ‘different’ kinds of cards and projects.
When did you take crafting to the ‘next level’ – ie more than a hobby?
Crafting became more than a hobby to me when I started my own on-line craft store a few years back. Unfortunately things didn’t pan out as planned and we had to close the store due to my ill health.
What do you like most about being on a DT or designing for magazines etc?
Mostly I like the idea that something I create can inspire someone to create something themselves. Also having the opportunity to try out new products.
What do you like least?
I don’t think there is actually anything I don’t like. As long as crafting is involved I am quite happy.
What are your other hobbies, other than crafting?
I love to read having received a Kindle a couple of Christmas’ ago. The best feature of the Kindle for me is the ‘text-to-speech’ feature, so I can ‘listen’ to a book whilst I am crafting.
Burning Questions:
Most used technique: faux stitching with a dressmakers wheel.
Phobias: not enough time in the day.
Favourite Film: Top Gun
Favourite Song: too many to mention.
For dessert I’d be most likely to order: cheesecake!!!
My favourite colour combo is: pink and brown
Favourite book: having read over 450 books on my Kindle, I simply can’t choose.
Three Crafting products you cannot be without: Hougie Board, Promarkers & dressmakers wheel.
You’re going to a fancy dress party, who would you go as: Morticia
Please list your 5 non-crafting addictions: Reading, blogging, drawing, spending time with the family and pets, listening to music
Favourite place to be: Home (in my craft room)
I wish I was… ‘a prawn cracker with fried rice in my hair’!!!????
A random fact about me… I got my first (and only) tattoo as the tender age of 41 after a dare!
