Monday Challenge – The Big One!
by Paper&Ribbons
I will admit it, male cards are my downfall, I find it hard to veer away from all my pretty things like lace and flowers, so this challenge was good for me to try and think a bit differently!
My inspiration came from the cardstock sentiment sticker, I liked the doodliness (is that even a word!) of it and repeated it with the large star shape and used colours that mirrored those on the sentiment. It was surprisingly quick and easy to make and that makes me happy when I am pressed for time!

1. Draw a star using the ShapeCutter Template or freehand. Draw a border around the edge of the star and add lines to create small squares.

2. Colour the centre of the star and colour the little boxes around the edge in different colours. I used Promarkers for mine but any pens or coloured pencils would achieve a nice effect.
3. Cut out the star using the Shape Cutter Plus or with scissors.

4. Colour some boxes on white cardstock in the same colour used on the star, stamp over the boxes with black ink and your choice of stamp.

5. Cut stars out of the stamped paper using the large Star Squeeze Punch.
6. Cut a decorative shape using a shape template or freehand from patterned paper and stick on a square card blank, edge around the shape with dotted lines to create a stitched effect.
7. Adhere the star shape using foam pads and add a sentiment.
8. Adhere the stamped stars around the large star and add button centres.
