Choosing colours for your layout
by Chris
One of the simplest ways of choosing a colour theme for your layout, is to pick out a colour or colours from the photograph you wish to add to your scrapbook page and use these colours to help in your choice of papers and embellishments. Patterned papers that feature one of your chosen colours will usually co-ordinate well with your image because as they are designed with colours that compliment each other.

If you have favourite papers that you feel won’t co-ordinate well with your photograph, then why not print out a copy of your photograph in black and white. This will allow you to use any paper design and colour that you wish.
Sepia tinted photographs work especially well with vintage themed papers and embellishments and most of the software packages that are supplied with digital cameras have an option for you to convert your photograph and print out in sepia tones.
If you have any further tips for using colour on your layouts do come and share them with us.
Happy Creating
