New DT Member – Jennifer Grace

Hello Everyone! I’m Jennifer Grace. I’m so excited to be on the Fiskars DT for the next few months, I can’t wait to share lots of projects with you!

I’m a mother of one cheeky little girl (aged 2) and wife to an understanding husband, who lets me take up a whole room of our house with my crafting goodies!

I’ve always been an arty person, and have tried my hand at lots of creative things from fimo to watercolour painting. But it was a few years ago when I discovered scrapbooking that I found my calling! I love embellishing my photos with pretty things, and adding journaling to record memories. My favourite techniques to use at the moment are distressing, painting, and layering up stamps, ribbons and handmade embellishments.

I also enjoy cardmaking, mostly making one-off cards for family and friends. I am going to get started on christmas cards soon too, I made lots last year and know this year I need to start earlier to avoid rushing it as december looms! Especially as I also like to make handmade gifts, like scrapbook canvasses, altered boxes, and hand-stitched books. Ooh, and I want to make some Christmas decorations! (Can you tell I like Christmas?!!)

When I’m not crafting I’m self-employed part time, running creative writing and art workshops for children (in schools, residential centres etc). I spend the rest of my time entertaining my daughter, baking, and exploring the lovely sights of my home county – Dorset. If you’d like to see more of me and my life, you can check out my BLOG .
