DT – Vicky – So Pleased!

I’m really pleased and excited to be part of the Summer Design Team and to be working with inspiring products that are fun to use. Now, before we get started here’s a little bit about my crafting career.

I’ve always dabbled in a bit of sewing and knitting since my schooldays. I made the odd pair of curtains and knitted jumper, but only got into card making about three years ago. I got so frustrated with the lack of ‘different’ cards available in the shops I thought I’d have a go at making my own and the rest is history as they say!

I like to experiment with different card base shapes and as well as cards, to create altered items and 3d projects. I’ve just recently become fascinated with ‘upcycling’. I love the idea of making something from almost nothing.
I get a lot of my inspiration from home décor and fashion magazines and websites; they’re great places for spotting the latest design and colour trends.
I’m really looking forward to sharing my cards and projects with you over the next three months and can’t wait to get started on my first project.
