Make this pretty lace effect card with a combination of embossing and punching to create a romantic feel for an occasion such as an Engagement or WeddingSupplies you need are :-

Fiskars Cardboss and With love stencil

Fiskars Embossing Border Punch-Scalloped Daisy

Fiskars 22cm Guillotine

Fiskars 1/4″ Large circle hand punch

Fiskars sharp scissors or craft knife

A 10cm x 15cm (A6) blue card blank

Small sheet of card for birds

1 sheet of white paper

1 sheet of cream paper

pen or pencil

Adhesive

3d Adhesive foam pads

First of all cut two 15cm x 4cm pieces from your white paper and one 15cm x4cm piece from your cream sheet using the Fiskars Guillotine. Mark 7.5 cm on one side of each long edge with a pen or pencil for your centrepoint. Insert one of the pieces of paper into the Embossing Border Punch and line up your mark with the centre mark on the front of the punch. Turn the punch so that the large area is facing away from you and press down the punch using a firm pressure to create your first scallop shape.

Slide your paper to the right and line up the design to the alignment grid which is silver. Hold your paper steady and punch again. Move your punched paper which now has two scallops, completely to the left so that the middle scallop is aligned with the pattern on the left side of the silver grid and create your third scallop on that edge. Repeat this on your other piece of white paper and your cream paper. Put these aside.

Next cut a piece of cream paper 15cm x 2cm with your Fiskars Guillotine. Then using the measurements as a guide place a mark 7cm in from the edge of the paper with a pencil and at 2cm intervals towards the edges. This will help to punch your holes with the Fiskars large circle hand punch.
Fiskars Guillotine
Using your pencil marks as a guide and keeping the end of the punch aligned with the edge of your paper punch your line of holes.

Apply adhesive to the edges of your scalloped pieces of paper and stick down layering one on top of the other at approx 1cm intervals as below.

Emboss your birds using the Fiskars Cardboss and With Love Stencil using the method shown here and cut out with leaving a small border round the birds.

Attach your circle punched strip of paper across your card ensuring the white paper of the scalloped layer shows through the holes when aligning it. Attach your birds using adhesive 3d foam pads.

As an alternative you could replace the birds with another embossed shape like a heart or butterfly as shown here.
