Shape cutter & stamp press

I have been using my Shape Cutter Plus & Stamp Press alot recently.

I have created the above L/O using the Fiskars shape cutter to cut slots in the very busy patterned paper so I can slot photos and other embellishments into the slots.The large tree is cut out of different paper too and i cut round the trunk & slotted the tree part behind.

 Using the Shape cutter free hand is very easy, If you are a little scared practise first on scrap paper cutting lines and squiggles in different directions until you feel comfortable to cut your paper. I hardly get my craft knife out now !

The Stamp Press is fabby too and really good for small alphabet stamps and HUGE stamps too. Fiskars make a great set of alpha stamps that are small enough to journal onto a layout or fit onto a card! In the starter kit you get a set of stamps so are ready to start stamping straight away if you have ink !  I have also used the Shapecutter to cut the grass freehand. This is so much faster than doing it with scissors and you can see where you are cutting as the tool is clear. I do recommend the Fiskars cutting mat it is far easier than using your conventional green or blue cutting mats, The shape cutter seems to glide better on the mat that is made for the job.

I have also used a few Fiskars Squeeze punches to add interest to the page …The medium star , XL flower & medium flower - If your punches do start to get a little blunt try punching foil or thin fine sand paper a few times to keep them nice and sharp.

 To add a little more interest i’ve used lots of ink & a few buttons plus a black pen to Journal. Papers are Sassafras Lass -Woodland whimsy.
