Hi Fiskarettes, here is my next project, concentrating on using border punches, and also using them for more than borders.

I started by choosing plain green cardstock for the base which matched my chosen patterned papers. I cut 2 x 2cm wide strips of patterned paper and used two different border punches one was the Fab Fiskars Effervescence border punch   punch each edge , and 1 x 1cm strip with no border.

I then cut 2 x 2cm strips of coordinating pink card stock and used the same border punches on these.

I layered these on top of each other, starting with patterned paper, then card in the same border edge, and ending on the top with the plain strip of paper.

For the bunting I cut 6 5x5cm squares from 2 different patterned papers, and cut them into triangles. I stuck them down using 3D foam to add dimension, and topped each one with a thin strip of the pink cardstock. In between each piece I added a brad, this covers the join in the card.

I cut the butterfly out from the patterned paper and so it would be raised above the bunting I put 2 layers of 3D foam under it.

The concertina flower was made by cutting a 2cm strip of paper 12 inches long, edging with the border punch, and folding down its length backwards and forwards. A 12 inch strip is the perfect size to then fan out into a flower shape. Stick the short edges together and then stick it to a piece of card to get it to stay in shape, before adding a brad through the middle.

I then added my photo and journaling card to the layout, the concertina flower and 2 3D stickers.

To finish off I used different sized sticky gems and placed them in a ramdom waterfall effect on each side of the photo, along the wings of the butterfly and as its antenna.

I hope you enjoy this cheerey summery layout as we are clinging onto the last few warm(ish) sunny days this year.

The diamond shape border punch is an old Fiskars punch I’ve had for years, don’t think they make it anymore but I love it.

Beautiful, summery page, and what a great use of border punches! Love the bunting too, I’m a sucker for bunting. I like how you’ve done the gems either side of the photo too, I add gems to most of my pages! xx
