For my first project I would like to show you the basket I decorated for my mum for Mothers Day.

I used the ShapeCutter Template – Butterfly for most of the elements on the basket.

The petals of the flowers were actually one of the butterfly body shapes on the template.

I then dry embossed on the petal and as I’d used white core cardstock I was able to sand off the coloured top to create a little highlight.

The handle has also been stamped with one of the stamps from the Fiskars clear stamp set-Love.  I covered the image with embossing powder and heat set and then painted the elements with some Perfect Pearls.

The butterflies were cut from the template, I inked the edges and added some doodling. I also added some sticky pads to underside of the top wings on the larger butterflies to add some dimension.

Basket is from Tando Creative and painted with gesso and then pale yellow and green acrylic paint. The handle is painted in rust red.
Leaves were die cut.
