Card

Here is another card I have made for our April Fiskars Focus – Easter and Stamping!

I used very subtle patterned paper to stamp the flowers onto, and then cut out.  I love this technique because not only are you creating images which already have colour, but the cutting out itself I find very therapeutic!

Instructions:

  • Trim pattered paper to fit the size of your card blank.  You can attach to the card blank now or at a later stage.
  • Stamp a flower from the Spring Set several times onto patterned paper – I used Memento London Fog as I find it more subtle than a solid black.  I used seven flowers.
  • Using fine detail scissors cut out the flowers.
  • Stamp the leave detail, using Distress Ink fora more vintage look, or a different ink for a solid image.  I used the vine leaf from the Swirls Set and stamped it twice along the card.
  • Lay the flowers across your card blank, interlocking them with each other.  Turn over and add 3d pads to the reverse.  Stick over the leaf design.
  • With the scissors blade, curl up some of the petals.  Add pearls to the centre of each flower.
  • Add Spring sentiment.
  • Ink edges of the card using Distress Ink.
