Card – Autumn chicken!
by Clare
I know chickens aren’t particularly synonymous with Autumn but I came across an old die that I hadn’t used in ages, and thought him soooo very cute that I just had to use him! I also thought I could get away with using the colours for our September Fiskarette Focus and add an Autumnal theme too!
I used the fabaroo Fiskar Squeeze Punch-Large Leaf as this leaf really lends itself to that autumn feel. Great for any season really – just change the colour of card that you punch with. I used a lovely deep red on this occasion.
And I found a fab stitch with my new sewing machine – see the border all the way around? I may use that one quite a lot! I also have to mention the glittery swirl…..I am actually using a lot of stash that I have had for a very long time and never got around to using. This is a little glue rub-on and then you can apply glitter or flock to it. Love it!

Other Products Used:
- Patterned Paper

- Chicken Die
- Ribbon
- Button

- Glitter
Instructions:
- Trim a piece of coloured cardstock to fit your card blank.
- Trim coordinating patterned paper to sit slightly inside of the cardstock.
- Cut a piece of plain card and using the Lever Punch cut two scallops on the top corners. Attach your chicken and glue rub-on. Add glitter to the twirl.
- Cut a tab and add the rub-on sentiment ‘autumn’. Attach to the side of the topper.
- Tie ribbon around the cardstock and then adhere into place on the card blank. This is where I sewed that gorgeous stitched border.
- Add your topper to the card.
- Cut out a leave using the Squeeze Punch and add to the ribbon bow with the button.
