Don’t you just love chipboard?!  I love chipboard and so have amassed quite a bit which I am loving using.  I especially love detailed designs which are great either leaving naked or painting.  As the design is detailed there is not a lot more you need to do to create a lovely focus point for your papercraft project.

I used the fabulous ShapeCutter  and templates too – our Fiskarette Focus product for July and August.

Fiskars Products Used:

Additional Products Used:

  • Card blank
  • Coordinating patterned paper – Lilac House by Fancy Pants
  • Tando Chipboard design – Butterfly
  • Paint
  • Prima Flower
  • Buttons, pearls
  • Ribbon, Lace, twine
  • Stamp, ink

Instructions:

  • Paint the chipboard design – I used a basic cream colour.  Allow to dry.
  • Trim three coordinating papers to fit onto the card blank in strips, making sure the bottom piece is large enough for your chipboard design.  In the edges and then sew directly onto the card blank.

  • Taking the Ovals Template cut a scalloped border.  I love this border as its nice and chunky.  Sew onto the card blank incorporating the lace and ribbon.
  • Thread twine through the buttons and adhere to the card, along with some pearls.
  • Tie a little ribbon around part of the butterfly and add the flower, then stick to the card using 3d foam pads.
  • Cut a small oval, using the ShapeCutter and Ovals template, ink the edges and stamp the sentiment ‘thank you!’.

Have a great weekend!
