Christmas Sign ~ By Jayne Loughlin
by Clare
Morning Fiskarettes.
I bought a little Blank Wooden sign in B&Q the other evening when we were looking for wallpaper scrapers & Paint to do dreaded DIY
Items Needed: Blank Wooden Sign, piece of packaging box, White paint, L Star Squeeze Punch, L Scalloped Square Squeeze Punch, Eyelet Setter, Pearls, Alpha beads, Glue, Ink (opt), Ribbon, Scissors, Scalloped lace border punch.
Instructions:

A light coat of White paint over the Wooden decoration using a Dauber.
I then cut a piece of card from a packing box. This was Trimmed and painted white …Drag the paint dauber in long lines it makes a white wash wood effect.
I’ve punched 3 Stars using the Squeeze Punch out of thick paper and trimmed little notches with pointy scissors, Just like you did as a kid with paper Snowflakes.
I’ve trimmed the Painted Card & added a strip of paper that has been punched with the Scalloped Lace border punch. Gluing this to the bottom at the back.
Punch 3 Squares using the Scalloped Square Squeeze punch. Glue the 3 squares side by side onto the painted packing box card piece & Decorate. I punched the squares with an Eyelet Setter & added Alpha beads. See Below…

Wrap a stng of beads around the ribbon that is used to hang the item.
Add the remaining stars, A few Pearls.
String the two pieces together . I had to punch two more holes at the top of the card piece so it could be hung, I just tied ribbon Bow at the back.
That’s it…what was a tree decoration is now a Wall decoration & will soon match my new DIY colour theme for Christmas

What's Hot

Lovely Jayne – much prefer the colour you painted it than what it was before! Not long now….where has this year gone!
This is so pretty and would be lovely in my hallway to greet peeps when they arrive!
This is beautiful, I feel a trip to B and Q coming on.
Love the colours you have used.

That’s really nice, I like the white washed wood effect. Lovely choice of words too. xx
