Items needed:Patterned paper scraps,1 x 12″ Cardstock or cardboard, Shapecutter and Christmas 1 Template (Holly leaf)  and large & smaller  circle template, Scissors, Stapler or strong glue (I used ATG gun), Ribbon (optional)Instructions: First start off cutting your circle base  using two circle templates the smaller template being cut inside the larger circle to form a ‘polo’ shaped ring.   2. Cut leaf shapes using Christmas Holly template and the Shape cutter though you could use THIS template for a more contempary feel, I used approx 50 leaves in total. The number of leaves you need may vary slightly depending on how you overlap your leaves.

3. Roll the bottom edges of the leaf together (see pic) so the leaves when stuck wont lay flat pinch the tops too so the top edges curl up.

4. Glue the back bottom tip of the rolled sides  to the Wreath circle base so the pinched pointy end of the leaf is pointing out and upwards.5.Continue rolling each leaf bottom as you go, Glueing them in position so they overlap the previous leaf. They need to overlap and be placed close to each other so the cardboard base  isn’t visible. The leaves should be positioned so that they follow the curve of the wreath base. The placing is fairly random, the leaves aren’t in rows. p1090557-500-x-393.jpg

6.Continue glueing the leaves in place. I found it useful to stop often and hold the wreath at arms length so I could see the overall shape that was being formed. Make sure that you overlap the leaves so there are no gaps. Complete the circle of leaves. The last leaf you glue will not need Rolling the bottom and may need tucking behind another leaf maybe.

9.  Tie a bow in your Ribbon and add to top or bottom to complete the wreath if wanted.

What a brilliant idea, and now I have to get the Christmas template too. You are making me spend lots of money but thank you for inspiring me.

This is really pretty, and so clever. I already have the Christmas template and have used it lots this year. The bow shape is lovely.
