Competition inspiration !
by Clare
I thought I would make something with the Competition sketch hopefully to inspire you to have a go and enter our Competition. I first thought I’ld make a card (maybe I still will !) But I had some papers that reminded me of the 1970′s so I then decided to scrap a very rare photo of me as a Toddler ! I’ve tweeked the sizes of the paper pieces a little but a Sketch is there to Inspire you and you could change a lot or a little long as you used some of the original sketch somewhere !!! Things can be left off , Jiggled about or sizes and/or amounts changed. A sketch is a guide to inspire you.
First I’ve choosen a Die cut base Then I’ve cut 2 strips 12″ x 1″ One of the strips I’ve punched with Apron Lace border punch. Glue these along the page approx 2″ from the bottom. One above the other.
Ive cut a square 7″ x 7″ square this was enlarged from original sketch as then I could fit the photo on. The corners are rounded & I’ve inked the edges. Glue this to the right facing side just over lapping one of the strips.

I’ve cut a large circle using the Circles Template and the Shapecutter Plus & Mat. Plus 4 scalloped circles that have been punched with the Scalloped Circle Squeeze punch. These are aranged on the left side of the top corner of the 7″ mat and glued when happy with the placing.
Glue the photo down.
Cut a white strip of paper approx 1cm wide , journal onto the strip & trim into smaller strips. Ink edges & Glue onto the largest circle. A small piece was cut the same for the date.

Add a title (I used white chipboard)

Beautiful Jayne, I really like the papers you’ve used.
Lovely layout, and I thought it was Keira, she does look like you.
Love the papers too. Really nice to see your take on the sketch, off to have a think about it.
