Cut Out Card by Lou14
January, 21st 2013

When designing a new card, I like to try to think outside the box a little. I love cards with windows, alternative openings and moving parts, so here is a really simple way of creating a different card.

Steps: 1. Start by cutting the top 1/3 off your card base with a craft knife. Save the cut out piece for later. Layer some Pale coloured paper on the inside of your card base. 2. Using a medium sized circle punch, punch a semi circle from the top of the remaining card front. Turn your punch upside down so you can see where you are punching. 3. Punch some flower shapes, no larger than your semi circle, and layer them up together. Stick these on the inside of your card, under where the circle was punched. 4. Punch a border strip using the same paper as your flower and stick along the card front. 5. Stamp a sentiment either directly onto your card front, or if you are not confident then stamp on your reserved piece of cardstock first then cut it out and stick it onto the card front. 6. Finish by Adding a button to the centre of the flower, and some twine around your punched border strip.
