DT Post – Alien by Tracie
by Tracie
I am so pleased you all liked the quick girls card last week and as promised I am back this week with the boys version.
This quick and simple boys card is a Alien, with the same movement ideas as the ladybug.
Supplies Needed
Fiskars Shapecutter plus
Fiskars Shapecutter mat
Circle Punches
Notebook border punch
green, white, black card
computer printed sentiment
I started by cutting 3 5″ circles from the darker green card. I cut a long strip of the border punch and trimmed it to 3/4″ depth. I then cut little snips every so often not quite cutting through the card.
I then used glue around the edge of one of the circles and began slowing bending the border around the endge of the circle to create my aliens spikes. I then backed it with another circle to hide the glue. I punch various size circles to make the eye and the spots.

Holding all 3 circles together I pierced a hole and attached a brad. I covered the brad head with another spot.
Finally I typed a sentiment in a suitable font, printed and added a bit of gel pen detail and attached inside my card.

And there is he a one eyed, spiked, spotted Alien from another planet coming to wish a little boy a happy birthday! I hope you all like him, he certainly makes me smile
